FOCUS Research Team Opens Four Positions for Young Researchers in Digital Cultural Heritage and Open Science

We are pleased to announce open calls for four research positions for young researchers across multiple career stages in our international research team. We are seeking motivated researchers with diverse backgrounds to contribute to innovative work in digital cultural heritage, open science, and open innovation.

The available positions span key research areas, including Collections as Data, 3D data for historical and cultural heritage research, and Artificial Intelligence in GLAMs (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums), with a focus on responsible use and reuse.

Open Positions by Career Level

R1 – Early-stage researcher (R1) specialising in datafication and open data

Doctoral Students (3 positions)

Doctoral Topic:

  • Infrastructures and open solutions for collections as data in Bulgarian cultural heritage institutions
  • Methods and technologies for integration, semantic enrichment and mapping of open data for public art
  • 3D modelling of cultural heritage objects: methods for creation, semantic enrichment and valorisation as digital twins

While knowledge of Bulgarian is considered an advantage, international applicants are welcome, and language skills can be developed after appointment.
